A warm welcome is what we wish to all visitors of Aids 2018 conference held in Amsterdam this July. On invitation of the Dutch HIV community Bas Kosters and team were responsible for the art direction and styling of a inspiring campaign. With three aspirational themes, Family, Sub culture and diversity we try to overcome the taboo that still lies on living with HIV and give a positive and open message to the world about HIV.

Bas Kosters for wehkamp “Affection collection”
Today my Affection collection for wehkamp sees the light of day. Three designs, cute as a button, available for everybody.
When I got asked to design a collection for wehkamp I was immediately super-excited. Wehkamp is such a Dutch icon, a company that many of us grew up with. Especially well know for their iconic catalogue, wehkamp is ever changing course, now they are adding a new extra to their busyness: affordable Dutch design. I am proud to kick off this new course

Mamma Mia, it has been a busy year! Today i was at Centraal Museum Utrecht to build up a christmas installation. Five Christmas figures dressed in Bas Kosters hippie dresses and glitter eyes surrounded by heaps of pink monster presents. All this  to celebrate monsters in fashion, and my collaboration with the museum.  At this moment Centraal Museum Utrecht hosts a fantastic exhibition curated by Atopos called "Monsters in de mode" where my iconic red monsterdress and a commisioned piece "My emoticon family" are exhibited. Go and check it out.

I recently got asked to design a fashion suggestion for "Zwarte Piet", to be presented to Sinterklaas at shopping centre Hoog Catharijne in Utrecht, so i did. In my opinion in the whole"Pieten" discussion, there was a big lack of respect and equality. Whatever the outcome of the discussion will be, i presented peace Piet. A Piet that stands for equality and respect.
